Goats Escape

The goats are escaping. First they escaped into my alder woodlot, killed at least 3 tree's. Fixed that. Then they went into the neighbors killed many tree's pushed over fences, ate garden, mated with small horses. Just kidding about all that, especially if your the neighbor reading this. But they did escape into the neighbors. So now we have them contained again.

Bee's wax

Dad found this honey bee nest in the making today. Alot of the bee's fell down and are not in the picture. Hmmm I wonder if I can go into bee raising.

Footprints in the sand

I had a dream, I was walking thru life. The lord was with me. But I noticed the toughest times in my life I was alone, there were only one set of footprints in the sand. I asked the lord, why would you leave me when I really needed you, I noticed only one set of footprints at my lowest time.

The lord answered me. He said he was busy at the time and not to bother him, he has the whole universe to worry about. I am like a flea on a camel in the middle of nowhere. Do you think I have nothing better to do than listen to this "footprint" scam he said.

Goats

I take the goats up to the road to eat brush from time to time. They love poisen oak and blackberrys. I tie up mother goat and baby goat is loose and stays near her.
This is baby goat munching on some brush.

The perfect loaf

This is an itailian loaf and it turned out perfect. It starts with a biga the night before but is worth it.

The finished product

This is how it turned out. It has good flavor but not the texture that I like, as in an Itailian bread that I make. It raised good but seems, "heavy" for some reason.

In the oven

Doubled in size and just in the oven.

sourdough

This is the beginning of the sourdough.

Its Alive!

I decided to start my sourdough bread. 3 hours ago I made the sponge and put it in my proof box. It was less than half this size. Look at them bubbles. Something is happening. Now I'm supposed to wait 12 to 24 hours till I make the dough. This is the 3d recipe I got from the King Arthur recipe site, the first 2 turned out perfect, in fact better than perfect but I did do something I rarely do, I followed the recipe.
I hope this thing don't grow into "The Blob" and swallow everything in its path. If it does you won't hear from me. If not I'll post again regardless of the outcome.

Proof

Here is my latest invention. Its a proof box for sourdough starters, doughs and breads. My sourdough starter is sitting there on the top shelf. Just think, someday it may be famous for being started when I did.
I also invented the wheel but darn it I forgot to invent a subsitute for gas. Now the wheel will continue but won't go anywhere. This inventing stuff is not that easy. Hmmm maybe I'll invent a energy subsitute called coffee, when I drink coffee I make mistakes 59% faster.

My Flower Pot

This boat was my Uncle Joe's. He built it himself. Look at the workmanship, they don't do that anymore. And I just wasted it, filled it with dirt and planted flowers. I was concerned about the lead paint they used back then but now when I think about it the lead paint is coming off ahead of the garden. It'll seep into the ground and the plants will pick it up and poisen us all in a hundred years.
Look at the bright side, if you come for a visit I won't feed you no vege's from this garden.
Now I'm starting to worry about this......

Living with macular degeneration

Dad has macular degeneration. If one picture could decribe how it is to live with someone with macular, this is it.
He took the calendar down to write on it when he planted his carrots but put it back saying he could'nt read it. Of course he turned it upside down when he took it down, for me, this is a common thing.

mean chicken

This is the last of 2 chickens my sister gave us. She's a nice looking chicken but has beat up every chicken we put her with. We put her with our main flock and we figured the rooster would take care of her and she beat the snot out of the rooster. OMG I think she is sizing me up as I took this picture. Talk about the chicken from H---.
