Tuna fishing

I went tuna fishing yesterday. We caught 17 tuna. I don't even like tuna. We caught some of them on hook and line. Its not fun.
We went out in the pacific ocean. If your looking north the pacific is the big pond on your left. We went way way out. Its over my head in some places. See the nice picture of the boat moving. Its not like that in the pacific ocean. Its very very bumpy. My teeth and some of my butterflies are still out there somewhere. Let me pry my hand off of this desk so I can send this.

Hot weather

Here is a video of when we got back from town today in the heat. Don't worry no little old men, or Llamas were hurt in the filming of this. Blacky usually jumps around but as you see its so hot he just stands there.

Hot

This is as hot as its ever been here since we've been here. The 101 is outside. Its so hot I seen a tree chasing a dog!

Lonesome Dove

We got rid of all our laying chickens so Mr. Wilson aka "Roosty" is mighty lonesome. He's been running around looking for someone to hang out with. Here he is hanging out with the Llamas, notice blacky keeping an eye on him when he walks behind him. Rule #1, never let a lonesome rooster walk behind you. We've got other hens growing up but there not old enough to hang with a rooster yet.

Weenie watchers

Sheba has been getting a little heavy lately so she joined weenie watchers. She used to eat dog food, eat a weenie and then go eat Llama manure. Now she eats dog food, eats half a weenie, and goes and rolls in horse manure. Her breath is fresher and she is more the weight of the other dogs in the neighborhood. She smells alot more after the roll in horse manure but Dad don't seem to mind.
Weenie watchers don't change the way you eat, but they teach you how to eat weenie's more responsibly.

Hey

The neighbor called last night and one of them big round bales of hay fell off a truck about a mile up the road. Dad and I went and got it and he wanted to ride home on top of the hay. We picked up hay a couple of weeks earlier and he wanted to ride atop it also but I didn't let him because we were along ways from home. But this time we were only a mile away so he did it. When we got home he said it wasn't as fun as when he was a kid. I told him he was sitting on a pitchfork and that might not be comfortable. But at 94, blind and deaf, he got to ride atop a load of hay coming down a mountain road.

crabby day

Yes, another crabby day in Bandon. We got 22 crabs today. Crab salad for tonight, and I found a new way to eat beets. Cut them up raw and add to a salad. There very good and hard to beet.

A sad scary story about the 4th of July

We found our youngest Llama today dead. She was strangled to death by some snarly branches hanging down from a tree. The other Llamas were wanting to get out of that pasture so we thought something might be wrong. It was a total freak thing. The scary part is it was firecracker, the Llama that was born on the 4th of July. I'll post pictures when I can get back to my main computer.
I didn't go fishing the ocean was to rough.

Going to Vancouver Washington next Friday.

Lag in posts

Yes there have been a lag in posts. My Aunt Ruby is visiting and I gave her my room and she likes it alot warmer than I do. The garden is really growing and I'm going fishing tomorrow am at 3 am. I'm taking my camera and will for sure have pictures even if we don't catch anything. I'm staying in the trailer and its sorta like camping except I go in the house and cook for everyone. Tonight we had spaghetti and meatballs. Its been hot here, it got up to 88 today. I'll try and post a picture tomorrow..
